Jean-Marie GROUIN, Ph D

Jean-Marie Grouin has devoted 40 years of his career to clinical trials and epidemiology, including 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry and, since 1996, primarily as Professor of Statistics at Rouen University and researcher at the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM, Unit 1219, Populations and Health 2009-2018). He has also been an expert to the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Healthcare Products (ANSM, 1998-2012) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA, 2000-2008). In addition to his university activities, he also acts as a consultant in statistics and regulations to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies around the world. He specialises in training and consultancy on drug development, scientific council (e.g. Phase II completion meetings) and preparing oral presentations (for the EMA, FDA, PMDA and local European agencies) as well as for consulting committees. He has held seats on various data oversight committees for clinical trials financed by industry and has given conference presentations and courses on statistics and clinical trials. He is also the author or co-author of several publications on biostatistics and clinical trials.
